517 Juneteenth Weekend 2025 –
A Celebration of Culture, Legacy & Community
From June 19 – June 22, 2025, Lansing’s 5th Annual 517 Juneteenth Weekend brings four days of education, empowerment, and celebration to the heart of Mid-Michigan.
Kicking off with the 517 Juneteenth Seminar at the Cadillac Room, this gathering will feature community voices, thought leaders, and entrepreneurs sharing powerful conversations on Black history, economic empowerment, and the future of our communities. Later, families and neighbors will come together at the 517 Juneteenth Ice Cream Social, a joyful and intergenerational event designed to uplift, connect, and celebrate through sweet treats and shared experiences.
On Saturday, June 21, the streets of REO Town will be alive for the 517 Juneteenth Festival—a day-long experience where culture meets community. Featuring 90+ Black-owned businesses and vendors, a fully stocked Kidz Zone, food trucks, and high-energy performances, the festival creates space for joy, unity, and Black excellence. BJ The Chicago Kid is set to headline this year’s celebration, with performances by MikeyyAustin and a dynamic lineup of regional talent bringing the stage to life.
As night falls, the energy shifts to an atmosphere of smooth sophistication at the 517 Juneteenth Jazz Night, where live instrumentation, soulful melodies, and good company set the tone for a powerful closing celebration.
Throughout the weekend, the 517 Juneteenth Weekend continues its mission of honoring the past, celebrating the present, and shaping the future. Whether through education, music, community engagement, or cultural expression, every event is designed to uplift and inspire. Join us as we mark five years of impact, unity, and celebration.
